Known for their giant block parties during Pride, The Saloon has been proudly serving the Twin Cities community for more than 35 years. Not 21? They serve cleverly named foot items, like Knockout Nachos and Free Kick Kimchi Carnitas, along with vegan and gluten-free menu items.

There is a real sense of luxury and serenity here without being too boujie. Minneapolis and St. Paul’s LGBTQ+ community is so vibrant and active that the metro area often ranks near the top of nationwide lists of the best places for queer folks to live, work and visit.

The Black Hart of St. Paul is a relatively newer queer space that just reopened in in the former Town House bar. Gather here for live music, comedy, drag, and burlesque. Norseman offers over 60 house made spirits and liqueurs that are expertly crafted into delectable cocktails.

Accepting, inviting and inclusive, the local scene offers plenty of ways to find your crowd, find a partner, explore a new interest, or simply express yourself. The part about the Saloon is they have numerous bars throughout the entire space, as well as a combination of friendly bar staff, so you rarely feel like you have to wait long for a drink.

It was the perfect place to meet other queer people and just have the time of your life, dancing the night away. Due to demand, they rapidly grew and expanded their services into drag brunches, Halloween events, annual Golden Girls bar crawl and even dance parties at First Ave from time to time.
